“Tips on having a Mentally Healthy Christmas”
Guest Speaker: Carol Evans, Senior Psychologist, Centrecare
Carol Evans is a Senior Pyschologist with Centrecare with experience in the drug and alcohol field, family relationships and suicide prevention. Carol delivers Mental Health First Aid training throughout WA and is the West Australian Co-ordinator for Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention training. In her presentations, Carol draws on her experience as a mental health professional, carer and consumer.
The 30-minute presentation will be followed by a short group discussion. For this pre-Christmas meeting only, attendees are invited to bring a small plate of supper to share.
Families4FamiliesWA is a new peer-based, monthly, recovery, education and support group for families dealing with co-occurring mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. ‘Families’ is defined as families and supporters.
Share the collective wisdom of peers and gain new information to aid your family’s recovery.
