Independent Voices 2011
2011 has been a remarkable year. From the Royal Wedding, the Argentine Elections, and the run up to the 2012 Olympics, to the Arab Spring, and the death of Osama bin Laden, we have all watched how everyday citizens have become empowered and spread extraordinary events using Twitter and other social networks.

PeerIndex and The Independent are asking you who you think are the most powerful non-celebrity online voices of this year. Polls close at the end of the week, so nominate those whose voices that have created the most inetresting breaking news, commentary, or inspirational content of the year.

We’ve created a group of who’s attending and who’s speaking this year, with Om Malik and Kevin Rose topping both lists.
