We’re excited that our long-term supporter iiNet has invited us to their celebrated Open Day in Subiaco next week. This is a great community event featuring our brand new initiative, Bean Talkin’.
Kicking off at 10.30am on Thursday 17 October, Open Day is choc-full of seminars, workshops and office tours for anyone looking for a sneak peek behind-the-scenes at one of Australia’s favourite internet service providers.
Sound like your kind of thing? You can book in for any of the sessions here, or simply rock up on the day. Please come down, have a chat to our volunteers, and don’t forget to pick up one of our barista-made coffees!
Lifeline WA’s newest initiative Bean Talkin’
Lifeline WA’s Bean Talkin’ initiative officially launched on Tuesday 10 September, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day.
Thanks to sponsors iiNet and Dimattina Coffee, Bean Talkin’ has already attended several events, registered over 60 volunteer baristas, sold almost 300 cups of coffee, and reached over 700 members of the Western Australian community.
Bean Talkin’ attendees are not only able to purchase takeaway coffee but also receive information about Lifeline WA, mental health and suicide prevention. This complements Lifeline WA’s objectives to raise awareness and reduce the risk of suicide by creating opportunities for emotional wellbeing.
All proceeds from Bean Talkin’ go directly to supporting Lifeline WA’s vital services, which assist in helping save more lives from suicide.
To book the Bean Talkin’ coffee van for your next community or work event, email bookings or call 08 9261 4400.
